Notre Dame Basilica
One or my first shots with the HTC One was to test it under difficult lighting conditions. Say, the inside of a dark cathedral on a bright sunny day. Perfect opportunity to try out the native HDR functionality.
From a tonal perspective it did great. If any shortcoming was revealed it was the amount if linear distortion at the widest angle. Nothing that could not be corrected in Photoshop, but I have yet to find a droid app that provides that ability.
And say what you will about the Catholics, but they sure know how to put a pretty building together.

One Funky Idea
Ok, so what does the guy with the 5D mark II, do when he gets a new phone? Plays around with the camera and downloads a bunch of editing apps to play with.
This blog is named what it is because the shots are all taken with my new HTC One, and edited with the BeFunky Android App. The intent is to explore the creative limits of this combination, hopefully with at least one update per day. Giving myself an excuse to spend more time wandering around Ottawa looking for things to shoot is a bonus too.
My regular photography, for any who may be interested, remains on my Flickr account.
So let's get started. The artist in in da (out)house. He will be right out....
